Privacy Policy

Last updated 12 August 2026

The short version: Time Journal has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. Everything you log stays on your device. We never see it.

1. Who we are

Time Journal is developed and published by Asok Labs. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Asok Labs, and "the app" means the Time Journal mobile application for iOS and Android.

2. What the app stores

The app stores the data you create — your activity names and colours, your logged time entries, and any weekly targets you set — in a local database on your device. It also stores your app settings.

This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party. There is no account to create, and no login.

3. What we collect

Nothing. The app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting service, and no tracking of any kind. It does not require network access to function.

If you contact us by email, we will hold your message and email address for as long as it takes to answer you.

4. Device permissions

The app may ask permission to send you local notifications — for example, a reminder that a timer has been running for a while, or an occasional prompt to log your time. These notifications are generated entirely on your device. Declining the permission does not restrict any other feature.

5. Backups

On iOS, if you have enabled device backups through Apple (iCloud or a computer backup), your operating system may include the app's local database in those backups. On Android, the app is configured to opt out of Google's backup service, so its data is not included in Android device backups. Where a backup does include app data, it is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not this one, and we have no access to it.

6. Deleting your data

You can delete individual entries and activities inside the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes its local database from your device permanently. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for you to request from us.

7. Children

The app is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is material, note it in the app's release notes.
